New De Cafe in Lenzie

Ceartas, in partnership with Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) at Lenzie Union Parish Church, is delighted to announce we will be hosting a new de café in Lenzie. It will be on the 1^st Monday of the month from 1.30 to 3.00pm in the New Hall in Lenzie Union Parish Church.

Our first meeting will be on Monday 4^th December 2017. We are delighted that Lenzie Meadow Primary School will be joining us on the day to sing us some songs to get us in the mood for Christmas.

The café is free and open to anyone affected by dementia and will offer information on dementia as well as a cake, a cuppa and the opportunity to meet others.

De Café aims to:

• Provide a relaxed and informal environment where people with dementia and their carers can talk to each other about some of the issues they face living with a diagnosis of dementia
• Provide information about dementia and on local services for people living with dementia and their carers
• Prevent isolation for people with dementia and their carers
• Encourage access to advocacy and other support services at an early stage.
